Heather Evans - Executive Director
Heather has a deep passion for Jesus and the community. She has served in several aspects of local church ministry at Grace Church in Cape Coral over the past 28 years. In addition to leading children’s and youth ministry she founded Small Wonders Preschool. Heather taught elementary school for 15 years and it is this experience that has led to her excitement and belief in the Imagine Initiative and the potential that church-school relationships have to transform communities. Heather has led school partnership ministries at Grace Church for many years, and is ready to use that experience to assist churches and schools all over Lee County.
Heather and her husband, Rod live in Cape Coral with their dogs Max and Molly. They have three grown children, Mackenzie, Roddy and Chloe Jane. While Rod is retired, Heather serves as the director of local and global missions at Grace Church in addition to her role as director of The Imagine Initiative. In their free time, Heather and Rod can be found in their backyard tending to their extensive garden which gives them much joy and pleasure!
Matt Nations - Board President
Matt Nations serves as President of the Board for The Imagine Initiative. Originally from Florida, he and his wife, Jess, have made Southwest Florida home, where they’re raising their four children—Kai, Jayse, River, and Shiloh. Matt is passionate about helping leaders and families live with intentionality and purpose. He currently serves as Executive Pastor at Riverside Church in Fort Myers, where he guides strategy, staff culture, and ministry development. He is also the author of Parenting Against the Current: Taking Back Discipleship in Your Home, a resource that reflects his heart for equipping families to grow in faith together. Outside of ministry, Matt enjoys time with his family, coaching leaders, and a good cup of coffee. He’s honored to help advance Imagine’s mission and see its impact continue to grow across the community and around the country!
Carol Musselman-Office Administrator
Carol Musselman serves as the Office Administrator for The Imagine Initiative. Originally from Ohio, Carol moved to Lee County, Florida, in 1980 and has proudly called Southwest Florida home ever since.
Carol and her husband, Keith, are the proud parents of three grown sons—Anthony, Rich, and Danny—and grandparents to seven beautiful grandchildren. Their family also includes their beloved four-legged companion, Caleb. In her free time, Carol enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, thrifting, traveling, and serving in various ministries at her church.
Carol has served at Grace Church in Cape Coral for the past 18 years, currently as Director of Finance, a role she will continue alongside her work with The Imagine Initiative. She brings extensive financial and administrative experience, along with a deep passion for serving the community, particularly individuals with special needs, children, and vulnerable populations.
Carol is excited to be part of The Imagine Initiative team and looks forward to helping expand its impact and mission throughout the community.
Dave Zechman - Board Treasurer
Dave Zechman brings more than four decades of experience in healthcare, including over 20 years in executive leadership and time spent as a hospital CEO. His career has touched nearly every corner of the healthcare world—large teaching hospitals, community facilities, and rural hospitals—giving him a deep understanding of how strong leadership and genuine compassion shape the patient and employee experience.
Faith has always been an important part of Dave’s life. Over the years, he has served in his churches as a deacon, elder, teacher, and small-group leader, roles that have helped form his heart for people and his commitment to servant leadership.
Dave is also the author of the 5-star Amazon-rated book Driven by Compassion – 8 Values for Successful Servant Leaders. He’s an accomplished public speaker and executive coach, known for helping leaders grow not only in their abilities but in their character.
Tony Simon - Volunteer Bookkeeper
Tony Simon serves as the Accountant for The Imagine Initiative. He and his wife, Bev, raised their 3 children in their hometown of Wheaton, IL They enjoy spending time with family, including 8 grandchildren and 2 great-children, now in Franklin, TN, Greenville, SC, as well as in Wheaton. Tony and Bev have been FL residents since 2020 and love being part of Riverside Church.
Tony retired as a Certified Financial Planner, after serving individuals, families and businesses with their investments, retirement plans and insurance. Tony earlier owned and operated a contracting business for 13 years. He is excited to use his previous experience and training to assist The Imagine Initiative with their accounting needs, as well as to provide financial reports necessary for business planning, government filings and board meetings.
Alane Adams - Warehouse Manager
With 38 years of experience in education, including a distinguished tenure as a school administrator, Alane has dedicated her career to fostering learning and growing. Now retired, she channels her passion for creativity into all types of craftings and her grandchildren.
She contributes her expertise and enthusiasm to The Imagine Initiative, which allows her to continue to make a meaningful impact in the Lee County education community.
Tiffany Adams - Board Secretary
Tiffany Adams serves as the Board Secretary for The Imagine Initiative. Born in Florida and a Southwest Florida resident since the age of two, Tiffany has deep roots in the region she now serves. She attended Toccoa Falls College in Georgia before returning home to pursue her calling in education.
Tiffany is currently the principal of a local elementary school, where she leads with a passion for creating a nurturing environment for students and families. Her involvement with The Imagine Initiative began even before its official founding. She was overjoyed to be asked to join the board because she believes deeply in the mission to strengthen school–church–community partnerships.
Outside of her professional work, Tiffany loves exploring national parks and channeling her creativity by building LEGO sets. Whether she’s hiking a new trail or snapping pieces together, she finds joy in discovery, design, and the stories built along the way.
Jodie May - Volunteer Social Media Manager
Jodie May serves as the Volunteer Social Media Manager. A resident of SWFL for the past 6 years after leaving the Midwest for an opportunity her family could not say no to, they moved halfway across the country.
Jodie has degrees in Marketing Communications and Art, but spends her time full-time with her family. Her husband, Brian, runs an accounting firm in Fort Myers, and they have 4 girls and a baby boy on the way! She enjoys homeschooling them and watching them grow.
Jodie first got involved with The Imagine Initiative when she had an idea for an event called Refresh Shop and Shine for families at the school her church supports. While she fell in love with the mission and serving others, she also sparked her niche of planning events which led her to want to spread the mission worldwide through social media platforms.
Outside of volunteering and being a mom full-time, she loves the warm weather that FL brings and being at the beach to watch the best sunsets. She loves doing art, creating, and baking the best Gluten-Free dishes!
